The GS20-PN is an embedded PROFINET slave interface module (supporting RT/IRT/MRP protocols) that adds PROFINET connectivity to devices via a simple UART host connection. It handles the complete PROFINET stack internally, enabling developers to integrate reliable, compliant industrial communication swiftly and with minimal protocol expertise, so they can focus on their core application logic.

PROFINET Features
  • Supports PROFINET IO RT V2.43 protocol.
  • Featuring MRP ring network redundancy and compatibility with IRT network communication.
  • PROFINET input/output quantity is user-configurable, with a maximum capacity of 1440 bytes for input and 1440 bytes for output.
Communication Interfaces
  • Supports both serial (UART) and parallel interfaces.
  • The interface to the user board is a CMOS TTL asynchronous serial port with the following fixed parameters: 115.2K baud rate, 8 data bits, even parity, and 1 stop bit.
  • Communication with the user board is secured via character parity and longitudinal message CRC verification.
  • Also supports TCP and UDP communication protocols.;
Software & Maintenance
  • Supports online configuration and updates via SST-PNS-CFG software.
  • Firmware can be updated directly through the configuration software.

  • Requires a 3.3VDC power supply from the user board, rated at 500mA (approx. 1.5W consumption). A 2W, 3.3VDC supply is recommended.
  • Operating Temperature: -20°C to 50°C (-4°F to 122°F)
  • Relative Humidity: 5% to 95% (non-condensing)
